The Lil Belles are some of my favorite stamps from AnnaBelle Stamps. When I looked at this sketch apparently I was looking at it from the side and didn't even realize it until I had built my idea around it. So for my card I turned the sketch vertically with the tab at the top.

I had so much fun playing with this new collection of designer paper called SWEET SUMMER from ECHO PARK. I stamped LIL MICHELLE SWINGING BY on white CS then cut her out completely. I then colored simply with copics (no blending) and popped up.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Lil Michelle Swinging By (AnnaBelle Stamps)
INK:Momento Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red, Copics: R20, Y17, R27, E00, E31, E57, YG06

NEW SVG/PDF RELEASES FROM CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS

NEW SVG/PDF RELEASES TODAY FROM CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS

Lori has a great explaination of what these files are plus the full reveal on the Clear Dollar Stamps Blog HERE.

The samples I am sharing with you are made using the CHEST CARD CUT SVG/PDF FILE.
As you'll see you can make a toolbox, toy box, recipe box, treasure box and whatever else you come up with. I designed the chest part and Lori came up with all the wonderful embellisments.
This is the card that started it all. I made it using the FATHER'S DAY stamp set as a preview sample. Then Lori and I designed the CHEST CARD CUT SVG/PDF.

I used a photo anchor for the closure. I stamped the hammer, colored with copics, cut out and glazed with dimensional glaze then popped it up. For the bottom, I used a piece of Ambrosia DP from Basic Grey and heat embossed HEAVY METAL stamp set with clear embossing powder and VersaMark. I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

Stamps/Images: Father's Day, Heavy Metal
Cardstock/Papers:Night Eclipse, Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps), Basic Grey Wander, Ambrosia
Inks/Markers: Momento Dye Ink Pad Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), VersaMark, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Copics Y17, Y23, Y21, N4, N7, N10
Accents/Tools:My own handmade toolbox template, Photo Anchor, Screw brad, Dimensional Glaze, Tim Holtz Blending Tool, pop ups, Score tape (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Ranger Clear embossing powder, Heat tool,
Techniques:Heat Embossing, Shape card

Here I used the Stamp set FATHER'S DAY for the sentiments on the front and inside. I used Basic Grey dp, and shapes from the file for the sides and top and then used screw brads.

I used individual tool stamps for the inside and Palette Inks from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Stamps/Images: Father's Day, Individual stamps Screwdriver and Screws, Wrench and Bolt, Circular Saw , Drill, Hammer and Nail, Tape Measure and Pencil
Cardstock/Papers:Night Eclipse, Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps, Junebug and Ambrosia (Basic Grey)
Inks/Markers: Momento Dye Ink Pad Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Palette Ink Pads, Deep Sea, Cherry Go Round, Tangelo Smoothie, Lime Juice, Red Velvet Cake, Fresh Papaya, Hot Cocoa (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Accents/Tools:Chest Card Cut SVG file (Clear Dollar Stamps), Brads, Photo Anchor, Cricuit Expression, Sure Cuts A Lot, Scotch dimensional foam tape, Tim Holtz Blending Tool
Techniques:Sponging, Digital

I had fun with this recipe box. Can you tell? We have the kool aid house. Remember the kool aid commercials where there was a house all the kids would go to and the mother served a glass pitcher of kool-aid? Well that is my house and I make Chocolate Chip Cookies instead of kool-aid. This is the recipe I use. Yum.

For the letters....I used the letters included in the Sure Cuts A Lot program. The stamp set I used to stamp the cookies and sentiment is BAKED FOR YOU TAGS.

I just cut a smaller chest for the inside and drew pencil lines to write my recipe on. I think it is special to receive a recipe in the person's own hand writing (as long as you can read it of course. Hee Hee). I stamped the cookies as a border and colored them with Copics.

Stamps/Images: Baked For You Tags (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Worn Parchment, Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Inks/Markers:Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Copics E37, E11, E31(from Clear Dollar Stamps)
Accents/Tools:Chest Card Cut SVG (Clear Dollar Stamps), Sure Cuts A Lot, Cricuit Expression, 3-D Dots (EK Success), Stapler
Techniques:SVG

I decided to use my tear drop pearls that Andrea sent me for rain drops. One time when I was younger....my sister and I were sitting in the car waiting for our Mom and Dad....it began to rain. My sister told me it rains because God is crying. Just remembering that. Okay now back on track...hee....
I used this cute
AnnaBelle Stamps Digi SUMMER RAIN.

I printed my digi onto patterned paper then printed it on white cs. I used the patterned paper for the front of my card. I colored and cut out the image, sponged it and popped up on the card. I put the tear drop pearls on top of the rain marks.

This new digi I used is called GOAT designed by Trudy Sjolander. I just had a blast making this card.

My goat, I printed, cut out and sponged with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain. The bill is the same way printed, cut out and sponged with Shabby Shutters. I punched with a 1/4" hole punch to make it fit in the goat's mouth. I popped it all with pop up dots.

For my ribbon...I used this cute orange striped ribbon from ABS. I ran a simple running stitch through the middle and pulled on end of the thread to scrunch and adhered with score tape.

CPS Sketch Challenge 217

I just love CARD POSITIONING SYSTEMS' SKETCHES. I like simplicity. So I decided to play in this week's CPS CARD SKETCH 217. I really thought outside the box on this one (big surprise I know). I hope you get my humor and are not gasping. This cute little fishy (made by using Paper Smooches Free May Digi Bee into a fish by cutting off the feelers and stinger) is just playing an April Fool's joke.

This card is also for Paper Smooches June Guest Designer Search and the CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE 118...BANNERS on SCS.

I colored my fish (bee in disguise hee) using Copic Y38 twice then dotted with YR04. I like the look. Then I added tiny googley eyes and covered with dimensional glaze and popped up upside down. The sentiment is a font called SNF Meadow from scrapnfonts designed by Kim Hughes. I thought it was fitting to use her font with her digi.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Paper Smooches Free May Digi
PAPER: Cottonball White, Worn Parchment (Clear Dollar Stamps), Summer Days (Echo Park)
INK:Printer, Copics Y38, YR04
ACCESSORIES:Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Googley Eyes, Diamond Effects (SU), Scotch Foam Tape
TECHNIQUES:Banner, Shape card, Digital

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR VISITING. ENJOY YOUR DAY!

CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE 118

It's Monday...so its time for this week's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE on SCS. Challenge #118 is...BANNERS. I made two cards.

This card is also for Paper Smooches June GD Search. I used this cute May Digi Freebie from Paper Smooches. I made my own cloud card shape with EP paper. My edges were a little jagged from cutting so I just used an emery board to file them smooth and give a little white edge to my dp as well. I decided to have my BEE pulling my banner using the sentiment that goes with this bee.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Paper Smooches Free May Digi
PAPER:Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps), Echo Park Sweet Summer Time, My Minds Eye Good Day Sunshine
INK:Printer
ACCESSORIES:1/16" hole punch, small scallop edge scissors (Provo Craft), score tape, emery board
TECHNIQUES:Paper Piecing, Digital, Shape card

So I pulled out my Martha Stewart Happy Birthday punch and used it differently than I have before. I stamped only in the center of the top white panel instead of all the way across. Then I carefully colored the letters. I punched another white piece and placed it behind the yellow and put it off to the side as a shadow. The yellow just looks more orange in this photo than it does IRL.

I watched how to make this banner on Martha Stewart one day. I folder my paper in half and cut my triangle then place it over the floss and glued together.

My "son" sentiment if from the new release FOR OUR MEN from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images: For Our Men (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Night Eclipse, Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps), Basic Grey Wander and Curio
Inks/Markers: Momento Dye Ink Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
Accents/Tools:Martha Stewart Happy Birthday Deep Punch, Scotch foam tape, Score tape (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Black DMC floss
Techniques:Banner, Punch

THANK YOU FOR VISITING TODAY.

Paper Smooches June GD Search

Happy Happy Mother's Day. Especially to my Mommy! I am going over to visit her this afternoon and taking lemon cupcakes I made. She loves lemon. I am very thankful for my Mom. Thankful to have her close by and thankful for all she does. My Mom is a very talented quilter. I have her quilts and fabulous bags all over my house. Love you Mom!

Paper Smooches...I just love Paper Smooches Stamps. I have not had any craft money to buy their stamps yet...saving up. But I have been downloading their free digis to play with. I have been so busy with DT committments that I have not been able to use them.

Well yesterday Kim announced that Paper Smooches is having a Guest Designer Search each month. All the details HERE. I just had to play.

I used Paper Smooches May free digi. Isn't he a cutie? Or should I say BEE-utiful? Hee. I used Microsoft Publisher and text boxes to create my card front. I put the sentiment all over the front page and selected the washout option from the art tool. I cut out the bee and colored with copics and popped up. Before I popped him up I stitched a flight path.

RECIPE:
STAMP:Paper Smooches May Digi Freebie 2011
PAPER:Cottonball White, Bee Pollen (Clear Dollar Stamps)
INK:Printer, Copics Y17, YR31, YR23, B00
ACCESSORIES:Computer, Printer, Microsoft Publisher, Black DMC floss, Paper Piercer and Piercing Mat (We R Memory Keepers), Scotch foam tape, score tape
TECHNIQUES:Digi, Stitching, Copic coloring

Come join the fun. Thank you for visiting. Enjoy your day.
