Pencil Congrats

I am playing in today's Free For All Challenge on Splitcoaststampers
CONGRATS & CONGRADS
today's challenge is to make a Congratulations/Graduation card WITHOUT
using a cap, gown or diploma

So I used my digi
I was inspired by my friend Jenny's card in THIS blog post.

I printed five pencils off to the side directly onto my card base. Then I printed out on pencil onto a scrap piece of white cardstock. I colored it with Copics then embossed with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder. Then I adhered it to the card. This is a flat card....snail mail friendly.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Pencil Talk digital image (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White Cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
INK:Printer, Copics Y17, Y21, YR23, N4, N7, N10, E31, E35, E37
ACCESSORIES:Cuttlebug, CB Distressed Stripes Embossing folder
TECHNIQUES: Dry Embossing, Coloring With Copic Markers, OLC, Digi

Blog hop with Ribbon Carousel and TAWS

We are thrilled to be teaming up with Ribbon Carousel today for an amazing blog hop packed with tons of talent and inspiration for your enjoyment
with a pot of gold at the end for the blog hoppers!

That's right.  I mean prizes! We're talking some GREAT prizes!

A little about the Ribbon Carousel -
We have partnered with another Woman-Owned-Business, literally in the same county here in WA state, to help manufacture the Ribbon Carousels©. Sherri is a gem and I am very grateful for all she does. The raw materials are made in the USA.  So the entire product, from design to finish employs and supports people here in the United States.  This was VERY important to me, and I hope it is to you too.  You are getting a product that is of the highest quality, gorgeous, functional and made by two U.S. women-owned businesses.

Now, lets talk about the prizes!
One lucky blog hopper will win a ribbon carousel  and another lucky blog hopper will win TWO stamp sets of their choice from The Alley Way Stamps!

There are TWO MORE prizes up for grabs!  Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a $10 gift certificate on their Facebook page and The Alley Way Stamps will be giving away a stamp set on their Facebook page (winner's choice!)

Here's what you need to do to qualify for the Facebook prizes:

1. Head on over to the Ribbon Carousel  Facebook pagelook for the post about this blog hop and say hello there!  Be sure to "like" them if you haven't already!
2.Head on over to The Alley Way Stamps Facebook page and say hello there, too!  Be sure to "like" them, too!
3. Come back to both Facebook pages and tell us you've done it!
4. Share the post on both Facebook pages about this blog hop with a friend for an extra
    chance to win!

I made this blog hop card using

 from the May Club Kit
(isn't it yummy)

and the new release

NEW MAY DIGIS

It's the 15th of the month
that means....
Digi Release Day at Clear Dollar Stamps
You can see the full reveal on The Clear Dollar Stamps Blog

My first sample is using my very own digi
I used vellum cardstock for my wings.

My second sample is using a digi also designed by me
TIES FOR HIM
I made it into a shape card using Microsoft Publisher. I placed the happy FATHER'S day sentimet all over the tie then printed onto designer paper. I just love this new line SHINE ON by Basic Grey released exclusively to select Jo-Ann's stores. I also embossed it for texture.

My third sample is using a stamp designed by Kim Teasdale that is turned into a Digi
MEASURE OF A MAN
I colored this simply since it would be hard to shade between the small buttons. I popped up my image and topped with a layer of dimensional glaze. I just love the look of this sentiment.

My fourth sample is using a stamp set designed by Kim Teasdale that was turned into a digi
Oh I had so much fun coloring this guy. Can you tell? I just could not wait to get my Copics on him. I put the sentiment HB2U under and behind him them popped up just his head.

My last sample is using the new digi
I made a little tent card to stand by my computer so I can see this scripture whenever I want and reflect on it. It is 5 1/4 x 3. I highlighted the "Whatever" in each line using rainbow colors of Copics.
