Ready for a new SugarSketch?
Come play with us on the SugaPea Designs' Blog
I flipped the sketch to the left but kept the card horizontal.
I masked and sponged my circle.  I used photo corners and masked off my sentiment and stamped it for the flags.  Then cut out and colored my bear (he is so cute) and popped him up on my circle.

I was inspired by Judith Gowdy's remarkable card HERE

SPD13 - SHAKER TAGS

Its time for a new theme challenge
Yep, We are making Shaker's for this month's Theme Challenge.
I made shaker tags using all kinds of SugarPea Designs' Goodies.

I cut my tag using
SugarCuts Gift Tag, cut out my circle for my shaker using SugarCuts Layered Treat Label, stamped my sentiment that will show through the shaker using Happy Mail and then cut out my hearts for my shaker from SugarCuts Notched Heart Journal card.

I also embossed the tags and circle for that nice finishing touch
So I learned the hard way,
that you can see the foam tape from the sides of the tag (duh right?). Well,
I didn't think about this on my first one and it looked YUCK. So here is how I did my dimensional tape, it leaves a nice finished look.  I used half of the hearts that came out of one journal card.

Oh and looky looky
This stamp set has a "to" and "from" so you can do the back. How cool is that!

Supplies
Stamps:  Happy Mail (SugarPea Designs)  Paper:  Recollections White 110# (Michaels), Limeade Ice, Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz, Harvest Gold (Papertrey Ink)  Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black  Accessories:  SugarCuts Gift Tag Die, SugarCuts Layered Treat Labels Die, SugarCuts Notched Heart Journal Card (SugarPea Designs), Scotch Dimensional Tape, Cuttlebug, Acetate, Licorice Divine Twine  Technique: Shaker Tags

These sweet little shakers are also for
I know, they aren't CARDS they are TAGS, but they are SHAKERS!!!!!!!!

FS419 - Warmest Birthday Wishes

Who is today's Featured Stamper?
Why looky, its my sweet friend and fellow SPD team mate Cathy Preissing
aka corysnana is FS419 at Splitcoaststampers.
I just flipped when I saw THIS card of Cathy's.
I thought it was genius that she took two sets and made this cutie drinking hot chocolate.  So of course I had to case it.  I took some liberties with my card, I took inspiration from Cathy's image panel making it my entire card.  I omitted the trees in the bg and kept it CAS and used designer paper instead of white snow layers.  I used the same images and sentiment.
Cathy and I used two SugarPea Designs sets Have An Ice Day and Sweet Treats -Christmas
To make him holding the cup, I stamped two of him and cut the bottom right side off.  I colored them both up but put the partial image popped up on top. Then cut out my cup, leaving the stem off and added shadows with Copics, then popped it up under his wing.

Supplies
Stamps:  Have An Ice Day, Sweet Treats - Christmas (SugarPea Designs)  Paper:  Recollections White 110#  (Michaels), Memorbilia (Teresa Collins)  Ink:  Versafine Onyx, Tuxedo Black (Memento), Copics R24, B00, YR02, C1, C3, C5, N0, N4, N7, N10, 0.   Accessories:  Cuttlebug, Conversation Bubble Border Die (Lawn Fawn), Enamel Dots (My Mind's Eye).  Twine.

SPDSS20 Love you THIS much

Yep, it is SugarSketch time.
Come play with us and win a SugarPea Designs GC.
I flipped the sketch and sponged my grass and sky for the skinny strips.
I used this brand new cutie patootie Foxy Friend
You know what?  My card is mail friendly.

I made my grass and sky with a mask I made using the Heart Border Die
I cut out the heart border, (works best if you cut it out from a piece of paper larger then the die)
then I taped the top of the die to hold it to the paper on top and to keep the heart pieces in place.
Next, I cut the die to fit my panel and separated the two pieces.
I used the panel with the hearts to sponge my grass over my masked image.
I used the other piece to sponge my sky.
I sponged with the intent of having a gradient effect.
Now I removed the mask on my image and am ready to color.

To finish it off, I die cut three hearts using the
Layered Treat Labels Die and adhered them using the die inlay technique.

Supplies
Stamps:Foxy Friend (SugarPea Designs) Paper: Neenah Solar White 80#, Recollections White 110# (Michaels), Silver Metallic  Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, True Black , Bahama Blue, Pear Tart (Memento),  Copics: N0, 0, C1, C3, C5, YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09, YG21, YG23, YG25, E31, E35, E33,   Accessories:  Heart Border Die, Layered Treat Labels Die (SugarPea Designs),  Cuttlebug, Mini Blender Tool (Tim Holtz), Scoretape Technique: Sponging, Die Inlay
