Your Next Stamp April 2018 New Release Blog Hop

April's Release will be live tomorrow, but for now here's a sweet preview of the fun goodies!

Here, I am playing with the fun new stamp and die set Photo Booth along with the Photo Booth Polaroid Die.  

I made three cards using the new Happy Smiley Alphabet Stamp and Die set.
This one, I popped up the letters and colored them in rainbow colors.

This one, I left as a one layer card coloring in with contrasting colors and added dimensional glaze to add a little pop!

Lastly, I made and used a cut out to align the letters on all three cards, here I pipped up the front panel only.  And coloring with one marker per color.

Again, this month I chose to play with the sketch.

I used the Grass Edge die to make two panels, One slightly longer than the other.  I adhered the longer one to the back after I sponged some blue using Premium Dye Ink Blue Curacao on the card base.  Then I popped up my cutie cow from Funny Farm Crew Stamp Set, popped up the smaller grass after I stamped the sentiment, then added a bit of washi tape and a gumdrop for the diagonal element!

 I am playing with the sketch,  

I used a grass die (as a stencil and sponged my grass) instead of a scallop and moved it down to the bottom of the card.  I am using this adorable new bunny from Countryside Cuties.  I masked the letter "A" from the sentiment HAPPY EASTER in the stamp set All Aboard - Spring Carts then masked off all the letters except the "O" in the sentiment "Wishing you all the JOYS of SPRING" then stamped the "O" where the "A" was to make "HOPPY EASTER".

I made a little Easter Basket using sets All Aboard Spring Carts and So Egg-citing.

To make my basket I started with a 6 1/4 x 2 1/4 base.  I scored along the long end at 1 1/2, 3,4 1/2 and 6.  Then scored along the short end at 3/4 and 2 1/4.  I cut out the little piece on the bottom of the 1/4" flap and then just folded it up and adhered the bottoms.

I chose to use these sweet little butterflies and Big Bold sentiment from Countryside Cuties.

I just sponged onto the center of the card for a little sky background.  I found what works best with this technique is to sponge off the ink first on scrap paper then work in circles on my card.  It is all about a little at a time layering to get the smooth color you desire.

I took this sweet stamp set Blossom and used just the birdies.

I did this by VERY CAREFULLY separating the branch of birdies from the sweet little puppy using special scissors meant for cutting rubber stamps.  I had to use close light and cut very slowly.  I stamped a little bit of the branch on the other side of the card and did not like it so I cut it down to make a skinny card.

Your Next Stamp March 2018 Release PREVIEW

Oh my goodness Cuteness Overload this month with YNS's new release!

And I have a little preview for you. 

I made a tag card using the new Humming By Release stamp and die sets. 

I stamped the flower, masked it and sponged a light blue background.  This cutie humming bird, I used a piece of clear cardstock to give dimension.  So he is sticking out 1/2" from the card.  I accented with the new Carrot Cake Gumdrops!

I sponged the background, Colored all but the fence and popped it up with dimensionals,  Popped up the cute birds.  Masked the sentiment "Chirp Up" to get just the "chirp".  Then accented with YNS gumdrops.

This challenge, I was inspired by the color combo.

I combined a couple older sets to make this fun spring scene. I used the carrots and bunny from Phoebe and Pets.  The sentiment is from All Aboard Spring Carts and my ground was made using the Puffy Clouds Border Die cut two times to make the continuous shape.  All links for the YNS Products I used are included in my supplies list below!

I used the sketch and rotated it counter clockwise.
I made my cloud border using the Puffy Cloud Die Set.  I took the larger die and repeated three cuts side by side to make a long stencil.  I then sponged lightly just along the top of the cloud.  I lined up my sentiment so my star nestle in with it.  I used the simple Copic Coloring technique - one marker per color.  The secret is letting one coat dry before adding shadows with another layer and repeating to darken the shadows.

I used rainbow colors and warm winter wearing Waddles for this theme.
These little guys are so stinkin' cute! SQUEE.  I used painter tape and sponged the background sky.  Then I stamped, cut out and colored up these cuties.  I adhered the back two waddles directly to the card then popped up the front ones with foam tape.
