SPD December Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop

It’s time again for our monthly, Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop !  Now that so many of you have our 2014 Holiday Release stamp sets in your hot little hands, our Pod Squad of designers have geared up to inspire you with even MORE creative possiblites featuring the newest SugarPea Designs stamps & dies.

Hi, I made a Snowman Tic Tac Wrap.
You can hang it from tree.
First, I made my own background stamp
by arranging all the snowflakes combined from Sweet Treats Christmas, Have An Ice Day, Merry Christmoose and Frosty Friends.
I stamped all over the front of my 9 3/4 x 2" panel .
I want my panel to be 9 1/2 end to end after I have cut
using the tag die from Sugar Cuts Layered Treat Labels on both ends.
So I just made a line that measures about 1/16" from one end, pulled the panel through the die so the only thing that will be cut is the end.  So I put the top of the die up to that line and cut.
Now I measured to see how much I had extra after I cut and I only had about 1/16"
so I put my die right up to the top after I pulled the rest of the panel through the die so this end is the only thing that will be cut.
Now I have both of ends cut and it measures 9 1/2" long
Next, I drew a line at the middle at 4 3/4" on the back of my panel.
Then I measured 2/8 and 1/16 from the center on both sides of my center line.
Next, I measured 2 7/8 (plus just a tiny bit more)
from one line that is closest to its end then 1/4" from that line.
I repeated this on the other end
Now I scored all my lines except the center line
and began folding
Here is what it looks like with both ends folded

Here I stamped and cut out the snowman using Frosty Friends
Then I took the spellbinders circle die about 7/8" and cut out from the snowman
Next, I colored my snowman
And stamped another squirrel and colored and cut out him (because I could not bear having a squirrel with his head cut off).
I flipped them over and covered them with Scotch 1/16" foam tape
Only put tape where the squirrel will touch the snowman
And placed the snowman over the circle
and the squirrel on top of the snowman

Now I placed a 1/4" width piece of score tape on the center of the panel
where the tic tacs will adhere at the bottom
Remove tape cover and adhere the bottom of the tic tac container
Then I just pulled up the sides
Tied a bow around the top of the tic tacs, then tied a thin gold cording to hang it with from the tree
 Isn't he cute?

A very lovely project Lisa. I think I also have some tictacs here, so I really should try to make something like this.

Ooh, too cute. A snowman is my favorite thing. I love your project and wonderful tutorial. I agree, that squirrel had to have a head. :-)
