Featured Stamper Challenge #123

This is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=442737Congratulations Sumptoy, I had a hard time choosing only one piece of inspiration from your wonderful gallery.

I chose her card box as inspiration for my card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1163220

I chose to make some Thank you cards for July 4th using COLONIAL CARVINGS from Clear Dollar Stamps: http://www.newcleardollarstamps.com/servlet/StoreFront I will be using this set to make a few of these cards to send to my Marine son and his roommates stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Changes:

I made a card instead of a box

made mine square

used eyelets

stamped on entire base

Used hemp in place of ribbon

Attached a tag

Sewed and sponged edges

I used what I learned from this tutorial from Lori McCroskey's blog to stamp my BG: http://clearlyistamp.typepad.com/my_weblog/stamping-basics/ I encourage you to go to her blog often and check out the wonderful information there every week on new techniques and how to use the stamps. I learn a lot from Lori and Katie.

Thank You for Visiting.
