SMILING PUMPKINS

It is time for One Layer Wednesday on Susan (LateBlossom)'s blog. If you have never played...you should check it out. I just love the challenge to make a one layer card. Susan's cards are always so inspiring. I enjoy seeing all the participants' creations.

This Wednesday's challenge three images one sentiment.

I stamped my three pumpkins (an stamp I received from my sweet friend Tiffani, the brand is unknown) and colored them in simply with copics. The sentiment I stamped once in black then moved my image slightly to the right and immediately stamped again for a shadow effect. It is really cool. I don't do that often enough. Fun. Susan says to just have fun and I did.

I decided to draw a line to ground my images and sentiment. I like the way the line looks behind the letters. Then I decided to utilize the white space and add score lines to make a fence in the background. I cut little notches out of the top to make it look like a fence. This was fun.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Unknown Brand
PAPER:Cottonball White (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
INK:Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
MARKERS: Y38, YR04, YR09, YG06
ACCESSORIES: Martha Stewart Score Board, Embossing Tool, Ruler, ZIG Milennium .01 black pen
TECHNIQUES:Scoring, 2nd generation stamping

WOW! This card is sensational! Thanks for all your technique descriptions. You've inspired me to try the shadow effect on a future card. How clever to clip the fence tops, too.

This is so adorable! I thought this HAD to be more than one layer-I think the notches at the top are what fooled me. Such a cute card!
