HAPPY BALLOONS

Did you make cards for World Cardmaking Day? I did not get to make a card yesterday but I did get to play in Technique Tuesday's World Cardmaking Day Challenge #5 today. My awesome friend Kris aka krischir was hostessing this challenge. The challenge was to be inspired by Kris' card HERE. Isn't her card amazing! I could make many cards using this beauty for inspiration. Great job Kris.

I chose to be inspired by the theme and made a birthday card. I used my new digi that I won recently Yay, it is called BALLOONS from SHELLY'S IMAGES.

The sentiment is from HANGING OUT from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

I wanted my left balloon to hang over the card edge, so I made my width smaller. The base is 3 3/4 x 5 1/2.

I printed out the digi on my white paper. Then printed it out again on another piece of white paper. I then colored and cut out EACH balloon and distressed the edges. I colored just the inside edge of the balloons on the card front. Then stitched the border and colored in the strings. And stamped my sentiment. Then adhered my balloons with pop up dots. Pretty simple. I love this balloon digi.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Balloons digi (Shelly's Images), Hanging Out (Clear Dollar Stamps used sentiment only)
Paper: Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps), Chocolate Chip (Stampin Up)
Ink: Printer, Momento Rich Cocoa (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Bic Mark-It Markers, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Accessories: Dimensionals, Needle, DMC floss, Paper Piercer, Mouse Pad, Tim Holtz Blending Tool
Techniques: Distressing, Paper Tole, Digi, Digital
