Loving Thoughts

5 more days left to comment for my BLOG CANDY.

This week's Clean And Simple Challenge 162 is a sketch challenge based on THIS card by Arizona Maine aka Angela.

I stamped my blue background using BBD4 from AnnaBelle Stamps in Memento Summer Sky Ink. Then I stamped my stems from ALL SQUARED in Memento Tuxedo Black and then the sentiment from this same set along the side of my blue rectangle.

For my flowers...I punched out 10 tiny flowers using a $1 mini flower punch from Michaels. I folded all the flowers one at a time, around my embossing tool. I unfolded 5 of them and glued them down in the centers on my blue panel. Then I glued my tighter folded flowers to their centers. After the glue dried, I pierced a hole in the center of each flower using my paper piercer.

The finishing touch....I sewed french knots in the center of each flower using DMC Pearl Cotton 5 thread and a size 20 tapestry needle. (I used a green plastic needle threader to thread my needle...they look like a loop).

Grass Border.... I punched out a bit of grass using my Martha Stewart grass border punch. I cut it the thickness I wanted then cut it the length I wanted. Then I rounded the corners with a small round corner punch and popped it up on my card.
