Welcome to the SugarPea Designs Caring Hearts Special Release.
We are celebrating the upcoming 7th Annual Caring Hearts Card Drive. Vera Yates ( the mastermind behind the card drive) and Jennifer McGuire along with their team of volunteers will be collecting handmade holiday cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes from October 1st to November 25th 2016. Vera will have all the card drive details up on her blog October 1st, 2016.
Prizes
SugarPea Designs is giving away the entire Caring Hearts Special Release (3 stamp sets and 3 SugarCuts Dies) to one lucky commenter. You have until October 7th to comment. The release winner will be announced on the SugarPea Designs blog Sunday, October 9th.
Vera is also giving away a $25 GC to the SPD store from all comments left on participants' blogs.
One of the things that makes this release special is SugarPea Designs will donate 20% of all proceeds from the sale of Caring Hearts Dies and Stamp Sets to the Alzheimer Association!

I just could not resist playing with the SugarCuts Heart Beat die and fun little monkey
from Caring Critters. I used the die to cut from my patterned paper then cut from black cardstock to outline it. So fun. I cut a matching little strip for the bottom. I stamped the monkey and used the SugarCuts Caring Critters die to cut around him and popped him up on the front. I chose this sweet sentiment from Kindness Matters and it fit just perfectly under the heart beat.
How could I not play with all of the Caring Critters?
I cut out the SugarCuts Polaroid Journal Card then stamped and masked my critters and colored them up. I layered two of the Polaroid frames for a little dimension then added this beautiful sentiment (love the fonts) from Caring Hearts. Behind my Polaroid I used a piece of the Countryside Charm patterned paper.
I just cannot stop playing with this new release.
I just had to ink up these envelopes in the Caring Hearts set. I stamped them around the sentiment from the Kindness Matters set, colored them up then stamped a heart on each (I very carefully cut apart the two hearts so I could stamp them separately).

My 87 y/o Dad has been ill all summer and is terminal. I LOVE the way you used the die to create a border between the white space and plaid. Also, on the critter card that little pop of washi tape added a playful touch that was just right. Very creative!

You did something different with the that adorable monkey by putting the plaid paper on the bottom and the heartbeat above the paper. I love how the monkey is hanging from the card because it looks like he really is hanging there. I like the colors of that paper. You made your card different from everyone else's. You included all the animals in your card. No one else did that either. I love how happy all the animals are too. I am so loving those envelopes and how colorful everyone is making them. Those sequins are just the right touch to put the card over the edge. Love them all!
