There's a brand new Theme Challenge up at SugarPea Designs.
Come play with us.
I could have gone with Thanksgiving.............
I must confess that is where my mind went with this theme but then I was flipping through all my sweet SugarPea images and my eyes fell on the "Muchas Gracias" sentiment in the new release Let's Fiesta.
Here's a close up of the front
showing how I used my new Washi Tape I got at JoAnns during their Moonlight madness. It is so colorful like Mexican folk art, I just had to use it with this. Then I saw the adorable cactus and had fun coloring it with Copics and the blend pen to give it texture.
Here's The Inside
where I continued the look from the front and stamped the "Mi Amigo" sentiment inside. And finished it off with sequins and twine inside and out. I sponged Tim Holtz Distress Ink over my black and white sponged cactus on the front and inside. Then stamped another, colored it, cut it out and adhered just the center. It does lay flat. The texture I achieved with the coloring makes it so I did not have to pop up my image. Love that.
