PEPPY TAKING A BATH

This is my Quaker Parakeet named PEPPY. I got him from my Mom because he was being picked on by another bird and was picking out his feathers. So he is loving the one on one attention he gets here. He is so cute taking a bath that I wanted to share.

Peppy just getting in testing out the waters.

Guess it must be okay because he's fluffing up his feahters to bathe. Isn't he cute!

He's not a long bath taker. "I've had enough of this" he says. Hee
That is my bird Peppy taking a bath. Did you enjoy the show? Hee

PEEK A BOO CHURCH MOUSE

Any of you out there follow the Bachelorette? Monday night on the show, during one of the recaps Ali screamed in the middle of her sentence. There was a mouse scurring across the floor. It was a cute thing. Not like any mouse I have seen. Looked pretty big to me like a door mouse maybe. Anyone know what kind of mouse that was?
Well I am bringing a mouse. This one looks like he is playing peek a boo. He is from the New Digi CHURCH MOUSE designed by my fellow DT member Trudy Sjolander for CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS. Isn't he cute?
I made this card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. I did move the bottom right panel to nest with the others. I printed out my little church mouse on DP then cut him away from the church doorway. I placed him on my card to look like he is peeking out. I love how this worked. I dry embossed all my panels, then sponged with Tim Holtz distress inks Worn Lipstick then Walnut Stain. I am hooked on these techniques recently.
Thank you for taking time to look at my creation. Please leave a comment so I can come see your creations.
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Church Mouse Digital Image ( Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:Cottonball White, Hot Cocoa, Strawberry Jam (all from Clear Dollar Stamps), DP (K&Company)
INK:Printer, Tim Holtz Distress Inks Worn Lipstick, Walnut Stain, White Gel Pen, ZIG Milennium black pen .05
ACCESSORIES:Dimensionals, Tim Holtz Blending Tool, Cuttlebug, CB Embossing Folder, 1 3/8 circle punch (Stampin Up)

FEEL BETTA SOON

Isn't this image the cutest?! You can pick it up yourself at DOODLE PANTRY. This cute Digi is called BETTA FISH AND BOWL.

I made this card for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE.

This card is also for DARE TO GET DIRTY 2010 challenges by joanervin and Suzzanjdean.

I was inspired by the movie Pinnocio where the woodmaker has a pet fish in a bowl.

This is a very simple card. I used Microsoft publisher to help me set it up for printing right on my card. I inserted a text box and made it 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 at the bottom left side of a portrait page. Then I inserted the sentiment and bowl. It printed I cute it to my card size and folded in half. Then I cut out the fish I printed after coloring it and sponging the edges. Adhered it to the bowl with a pop up dot. Simple. That is all there is to it.

Recipe:
Stamps:
Betta Fish and Bowl Digi (Doodle Pantry)
Paper: Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Printer, copics YR07, YR09, Y38, YR04, Tim Holtz Distress ink Walnut Stain
Accessories: Tim Holtz Blending Tool, 1/8" dimensionals

MERMAID FOR GRACE

Being on a Design Team I make ALOT of cards. I am so excited today...to make one for a cause. This little mermaid is going to CARDS FOR GRACE.

She is also for DARE TO GET DIRTY challenges by peanutbee and AmberDawn01. Dare to get dirty challenges are for SCS Fan Club Members. To find more about SCS Fan Club here's the link.

This sweet digi is from Pink Cat Studio.

I printed her out three times cutting differnt pieces and paper toled her after I colored and sponged around all edges.

I put dimensional glaze on her scales, headband and top.

I used jumbo scallop dienamics from My Favorit Things for the waves. The panels were slightly different in height.

For the sand I tore the top of my Kraft panel and ran through my cuttlebug using a Cuttlebug Embossing folder and then sponged with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink Using my Blending Tool. It really brings out the embossing.

I found this cute gingham button that I adhered with score tap and used glue dots to adhere this dollar store charm with. I tied a piece of sheer ribbon to the top of the charm to hide the hole.

So there you have it. I am so glad you stopped by. Hope you found inspiration.

Recipe:

Stamps: Mermaid Digi Stamp (Pink Cat Studio)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI

Welcome to our
BIRTHDAY BASH BLOG HOP
Today is Lori McCroskey's Birthday. Lori is the owner of Clear Dollar Stamps. We, her Design Team, love her and are so happy to be on her team. To show our love we planned this surprise for Lori.
How does this work? Well...it starts on the CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS BLOG HERE. Design Team members made cards for Lori using Clear Dollar Stamps. You can go from blog to blog viewing these works or art. I know you will find lots of inspiration today on our Birthday Bash Blog Hop for Lori.
So...since you are here...that means you came from JOAN'S blog. Right? If not...why not start at the beginning on the CDS blog HERE.
Here is the card I made for Lori
Happy Birthday Lori
I consider myself blessed to be on your Design Team
This card is just for YOU
Now hop on over to STACY'S blog.
The details about my card are below:
I started with my black panel 5x5". I punched the corners then the top and sides, not bottom with Martha Stewart's Around The Page Butterfly corner and border punches.

The front panel is 4 x 4 1/2". I stamped the flowers from PEONY with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I masked the stamp so I only got the top of the flower. Next I sponged over using first Bashful Blue going heavier on the sides. Then I used Tempting Turquoise followed by Pacific Point on the edges. The Pacific Point was heavier on just the edge. I went all over with Bashful Blue one more time. Then I put the panel in my Cuttlebug using CB embossing folder hound's tooth. Then I used Tim Holtz Blending tool and Tim Holtz distress ink Walnut Stain on the edges. I love how it makes the embossing stand out more. I then hand stitched my border. Lastly, I stamped just the flower top again on a separate piece of white CS and colored, sponged with distress ink then embossed with same folder and popped up on card. For the sentiment I punched my label from white CS, stamped sentiment, sponged and embossed. Then popped up.

Behind the black I adhered my 4x 4 1/2" card. And there you have it.

Secondly this card is for this week's My Favorite Thing's Wednesday Stamp Club. It is a sketch challenge.
I made buttons from the lollipop by stamping her as 8 times and punching out th

FAUX FLAG POSTAGE STAMPS

Hi. This is my first card since I broke my foot and toe Monday. I have no awesome story either. I was simply pushing my grocery cart across the parking lot to return it and was walking briskly and the front wheels suddenly stopped as they lodged in a seam in the sidewalk and I guess my foot went front forward into the ground. Ouch. I have an aircast boot and a crutch. I am feeling much better than Monday. Yay.

I played in today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE. What a challenge Cindy had for us today. To make a card for Canada day or Fourth of July without using blue or red. Yikes. With a flag image this was tricky.

I used the newly released LET FREEDOM RING digi from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS. I also used SHEET MUSIC for my background.
