August SPD Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop

Welcome to the SugarPea Designs Sweet2Repeat blog hop!
Today ALL the SugarPeas are hopping, showing off even more ways to use the FABULOUS July release - Seaside WishesGreat Catch, Spare Me and Twinkle Twinkle. We know you’re going to be inspired!
Leave a comment at each spot along the way for a chance to win $10 to spend on some SugarPea sweetness of your very own!

I am using the adorable Great Catch stamp set.
I stamped my image, colored him simply with Copics then blended Copics over his feet for the water.  After that, I adhered a piece of vellum 1/8" larger on all sides with Wacky tape then embossed.  I love this look.
Here is the inside.
I repeated the same blending technique for the water again to tie in the inside to the front of my card.
I stamped another cute sentiment from the same set and just added some clear sequins.  And also added a vellum mat for the background.

Supplies
Stamps:Great Catch (SugarPea Designs)  Paper: Recollections White 110# (Michaels), Vellum cardstock, Harvest Gold (Papertrey Ink) Ink: Copics: G14, YG06, Y13, B00, B01, B04, C1, C3, C5 Accessories: Clear 4mm, 6mm sequins (Pretty Pink Posh), Licorice Divine Twine, 1/16" circle punch, Glossy Accents (Inkessentials) Technique: Vellum Overlay, Dry Embossing

It kind of looks like he's standing in the rain. I know fishermen are very dedicated and a little rain wouldn't stop them. Great card. Love it.

Wow! This is so unique! The embossed layer makes it look like it's raining to me. I don't really know why, it just does. It's really cool.
