Coloring Outside The Lines - Let It Be

Power Poppy
I am playing in Power Poppy's Power & Sparklette Challenge
Marcy is challenging us to color up a Power Poppy image doing something different to us.  So I colored in the leaves simply (no blending) which is unusual for me and I really wanted to blend those colors, I did.  But I wanted to keep it CAS so I used a light color and then a darker along the lines in the leaf.  Then I went around the edge with a light blue and it was different for me because there is noguideline.  I felt a little anxious wanting to get it even.  So this was fun to let go and try something different from my go to coloring technique.  Plus I layered up a little with dies rather than my one layer creations.

I chose to use the Power Poppy Freebie Digi

EeeeeEEEeeeeee!! Lisa, this is SO MUCH FUN. I would not have thought to do the leaves in all different colors, how thrilling to see the quote colored this way. It’s beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us at Power Poppy, my dear! :) ~marc

This is SO pretty Lisa...I really like the contrast that the leaves have without blending...it’s such a pretty colourful look perfect to show off that negative space! Thanks so much for such a lovely contribution to Coloring Outside the Lines!

So beautiful and such an interesting way to NOT color the sentiment. Love it!

Gorgeous, Lisa! I'd love to play, but I'm 'skewered'!! Great job, as always!

Silly auto correct. I typed 'skeered'. (Silly talk for scared). Sorry!

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is gorgeous! Clever you, coloring the leaves different colors! It looks beautiful! Ooooo! And I know how you felt when you didn't blend those leaves! Oh! Good for you, though! That's a great way to stretch yourself. Do you think you'll use this un-blended look again? I love it!

Hugs and Happy Crafting!
