Pumpkin Time

I am playing in Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge #396 - Pumpkin Patch

With the theme being pumpkins, I pulled out this cutie Birdbrain Jack-O-Lantern by From The Heart Stamps.  I just inked him up simply and quickly.  Then used the SugarCuts Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles Die from SugarPea Designs and placed at an angle.  Then just added a few sequins. Easy peasy.

  CAS379 May Flowers over at Splitcoaststampers.  I've had this cutie Hamlet PigWit In The Planter by From The Heart Stamps printed up for awhile but just had no time to color him up.  So today's challenge was the time!  He makes me smile.

I used Copics to color up my piggie.  
I wanted a soft color look so I used the one marker technique.  For each color I used one marker by coloring in the entire area I was coloring, let it dry and come back with my shading and repeated til I was satisfied.  Then I did come back with a gray for a deeper shadow except on the barrel and shadow for the barrel on the grass I used more grays to get the deep shadow I wanted.
Pig = E000, C1
Barrel = N0, C1, C3, C5
Grass = YG21, C3, C5 (grays just at base of barrel)
Flowers = R20, B000, YR02, V000, C3
Leaf = YG21, C3
Butterflies = Y21, C3

Playing with Hamlet

I am playing with this adorable digi Hamlet PigWit Being Shy by From The Heart Stamps. 

I just love pigs.  This guy is such a cutie.   I also used a set from SugarPea Designs, Noted.  I have been enjoying using this set lately.  I printed out Hamlet and the sentiment then stamped the paper lines over him.  I wanted it to look like he was drawn and colored on notebook paper.

I went a different route making this card than usual.  

As I made it for the challenge below, I went with the no line coloring technique. So I printed out my image in a light grey than colored with Copics.  I distressed the paper edges for the ShabbyChic twist.

And I used a sentiment from the Happy Birthday set by A Jillian Vance Design.

Birthday Birdbrain

Birthday Card

 I have been down with my asthma for a week

so since I cannot do much I am making cards to have on hand.  Some of my favorite images are birdbrain digis from From The Heart Stamps like this guy Birdbrain Balloon.  For the challenge below, I sponged my grass by making a mask using Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border Die.  I sponged my border on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock, then ran it back through the printer to print the sentiment.  I print out my bird and balloon, cut them apart, colored them up and popped them up making a pop up using paper (a hollow square that folds flat to mail).  I added twine for the balloon.
