Don't these colors just make you smile?

I immediately wanted to use this fun set That Bites from Avery Elle and matching dies. I knew the colors would work perfect for these fish and water. How cute are these fishes?! So I had some Distress Oxide Ink fun.  I am learning what these inks can do, but I must say they sponge onto my card like a dream.  So I started by sponging on my Distress Oxide Broken China ink using Ranger Mini Ink Blending tool.  Then I used the TH misting bottle and pulled the trigger half way to get my drops then I dabbed with a paper towel. I colored and cut out my  fish. I arranged them the way I wanted and ran each back through my cuttlebug to cut where they would overlap each other so they sit more smoothly on the card even though they are popped up.  

I used Glossy Accents 

to add drops to the bubbles on my card. Love how it works. I finished off with a tiny bit of washi and sentiment. Fun card to make.

Playing in this week's CASology challenge with my dear friend Rosi.

Rosi and I have been challenging one another to play in the CASology challenge each week.  You can check out how Rosi was inspired by this week's cue HERE. 

This week's cue is ROUGH and I was having a little challenge figuring out what to do.  I went with rough seas using the cute That Bites set from Avery Elle and the Homespun Stitch Lines Die-namics from My Favorite things for my rough seas.  I put it all on the new scallop rectangle using SugarCut-Birthday Journal Card from SugarPea Designs.

I Smell Something Sketchy

My sweet friend Rosi (Rosemary Dennis) and I

 had so much fun playing in the CASology challenge together last week we are at it again.  It's fun to see how we are both inspired by the same challenge.  Check out how Rosi was inspired by this week's cue HERE.  

With the challenge cue being ART, 

I worked to make this adorable stamp That Bites look like a hand drawn piece of art.  I stamped this cutie in a light ink then I took a pen and with back and forth movements drew over it making it look like it was hand sketched.  Then I just colored in simply (no shading) with Copic markers.

Birthday Hop 

This adorable stamp set from Avery Elle Hello Chum just seemed perfect for Toni's Birthday.

I used Copics to make my ocean background.  I wanted him to look a little friendlier, so I added a googly eye and it did the trick. 

Today is Toni's Birthday!

Happy Birthday girl. Toni is a very sweet friend that I get to craft with locally. WhooHoo. I am very lucky for my local crafty friends. Mwah.

CAS290 - Got The Sniffles?

 I am playing in today's Clean And Simple Challenge on Splitcoaststampers to use crumpled paper.  I am using a brand new SugarPea Designs release Sniffles And Snuggles. 

 Here is a closer look.

I masked off the images below the animals' kleenex.  Then I stamped the image again on white cardstock, colored in the images I wanted, added dots with white gel pen, cut out and crumpled to get a tissue look.  I popped up the box of tissue after stamping the matching sentiment.  Then adhered all the tissues for the animals.  I only did the tissues to go with the sentiment. 

Here is the inside.

Again I masked off the bottom images and stamped using a matching ink to the card base.  Then added the sentiment. Isn't she so cute.
