In Lou's Honor

Card for Lou
Christy Croll owner of Tiddly Inks created this digi  Lou - Fight Like A Girl
(Pick it up for FREE Here. )
for Lou in honor of her current battle with Breast Cancer.  So Tiddly Ink Design Team Members Old and New are playing with this image, that is free in the store now, for Lou.

I drew my border on my patterned paper background free hand and filled in squares (chanelling my inner Faye).  Then I printed out my image, colored up, cut out and popped up on the card.  I finshed using some goodies I won from Heather Hoffman's blog earlier this year.  I love the puffy sequins.

Love you Lou.  Thinking of You, sending positive vibes and a big HUG.

Wednesday Challenge Make Your Own Background
I sponged my background waves and ocean with my handmade templates.

Want to know how I did my background and sentiment?
I printed out  my image once on cardstock and once on copy paper.
I cut out the image from copy paper, adhered removable tape on back and used it as my mask.
My cardstock is left whole so I can feed it back into the printer to print my sentiment.
I made two templates from copy paper using plain old scissors.
The top one is for my waves. The bottom one is for the ocean under the waves.
I put them where I wanted and sponged pulling downward from my stencil above and repeated for my layers using Tim Holtz blender and dye ink pad.
I followed this Hero Arts Video: Making Waves Tutorial HERE.
I removed my mask and ran it back through my printer.
Printing the sentiment on top of my sponged background.

Supplies:
Stamps: Wryn the Mermaid (Tiddly Inks)  Paper:  Recollections White 110# (Michaels)  Ink: Aqua Mist (Papertrey Ink) Printer, Copics: YR23, Y17, Y21, C1, C3, C5, 0, R20, R22, R24, R29, YR02, YR04, YR07, E000, E00, E11, YG21, YG23, YG25  Accessories:  Tim Holtz Blender Tool, Corner Chomper  Techniques: Sponged Waves

Tiddly Inks Release - Love Hearts

There is a BIG new release on the Tiddly Inks Blog today.
I'm using the one of the new releases
I only used Wryn's head and her hearts.
I cut out a second set of hearts, colored them up and folded them back and forth like you would to make a chain and only adhered the heart with the hand at each end. Looks great IRL.
I used Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to make a gradient background for Wryn.
For the inside
I created an insert from copy paper by printing out this sentiment from the set and colored in only the heart.

Supplies
Stamps: Wryn - Have Heart (Tiddly Inks)  Paper:  Recollections White 110# (Michaels), Copy Paper, Neenah Solar White 80#, Memorabillia (Terry Collins)  Ink: Printer, Copics: R20, Y21, E000, B00, N0, C1, C3, Worn Lipstick Distress Ink (Tim Holtz)  Accessories: Clear Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh), Scotch Dimensional Tape, Heart Journal Card SugarCuts Die (SugarPea Designs), Spellbinders Ovals, Cuttlebug
