Birthday Case

I was inspired by THIS card of my talented friend Therese Calvird.

My sentiment is computer generated. 

I Printed out my image with sentiment and cut it to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.  I then adhered my designer paper with removeable tape onto copy paper and fed it into the printer to only print the "Birthday". Then I cut it to size vertically.  I cut a tiny strip of Ranger Foil tape and adhered above the dp and burnished with my bone folder. I then adhered my card front onto my heavier card base and finished off with flat sequins to keep it mail friendly.

I curved the sentiment along the inside of the die on my acrylic grid block.

Here's the inside. 

I paper pieced on the inside too and drew my clothes line just like on the front.  Chose to use this playful sentiment to go with the front.  It will make a great Valentine, Anniversary card or just a fun surprise to put in my husband's lunch I think.

TI Fab Fri Happy Baaa-Day To EWE

It is Fab Friday on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog

This is my last post for Tiddly Inks for now.  Life is getting in the way.  I know I will be back!

 Obviously, I am taking a break from Christmas/Winter cards. 

I am using Happy Baaa-day To Ewe from Tiddly Inks.  I've had this image printed out waiting for me on my craft table for awhile waiting for me to color up these sheep in multi colors. Ha ha. Aren't they fun! Easy Peasy. I gave them texture using the Copic blender pen. 

The Inside

I used vellum and matching designer paper to tie in the front to the inside.

SPDSS17 Peace on Earth

 

The new Sugar Sketch SPDSS17 is up at SugarPea Designs.

I flipped the sketch 90 degrees to the left.

I used two of the newest releases Lost Without You and Layered Treat Label - Sugar Cuts Die. I paper pieced his clothing then went over it with greys to make shadows.  Colored the rest of him with Copics.  I cut out an extra crook and lamb and colored them, then popped them up.  The front panels are popped up against the background paper so you can see the vellum circle otherwise it just faded into the background.
